How is my identity connected to my health?

As Humans we all experience an identity crisis during our lifetime. Am I healthy or unhealthy? Sane or Insane? Beautiful or Unattractive? Fat or Skinny? Gay or Strait? Black or White? Smart or Not? Old or Young? and many many more aspects of our identity become a huge question mark.

Our identity is personal. It is like a fingerprint to our soul. What makes one person delusional makes another a genius.

How do we navigate the journey to our best health?

At C. King Psychiatry, we specialize in translating medical and mental health questions into answers. Your individual health journey needs to fits your lifestyle. We all realize that conditions like depression, trauma (ptsd), anxiety, diabetes, obesity, eating disorders, alcoholism, high blood pressure, psychosis, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder (ocd), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (adhd), autism and more can occur together.

When we treat one condition, it affects the other, because it is all connected to one body and every body is different.

So where do we start?

We start by taking the first step. That may be our weight, to decrease our risk of diabetes or high blood pressure or to improve our sense of beauty and help us feel better overall. This is one example of how one change has a cascading effect on our health.

At C. King Psychiatry, we can help you take the first step in the journey to a healthier life.

Peace, C. King
